Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Tenance you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What Tenance is
Tenance is a marketplace and management platform. We connect people (for example tenants and landlords, riders and drivers, customers and service professionals, buyers and furniture makers, vehicle owners and drivers). Unless we say otherwise in the app, we are not a party to the rental, ride, service, sale or vehicle agreements made between users, and we do not own the properties, vehicles or goods listed.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate information. Keep your password and verification codes private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- You may hold more than one role (for example tenant and driver). Some roles need verification before they can be used.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, are used for fraud, or put others at risk.
3. Acceptable use
- No fake, misleading or duplicate listings, fake reviews, impersonation, harassment, or illegal goods and services.
- No attempts to bypass security, scrape other users' data, or interfere with the service.
- Do not use Tenance to take payments or contact details off the platform in ways that defeat its protections where the app requires otherwise.
4. Listings, bookings and rides
Listing owners are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings and for any licences, permits and insurance their activity needs (for example LATRA licensing for commercial vehicles). Viewing, booking, ride and job terms shown in the app at the time you confirm form part of your agreement with the other party. Cancellation and refund rules shown in the app apply.
5. Payments and fees
- Payments are made through mobile-money providers. Tenance does not hold your money as a bank or escrow; where we show a fee, it is shown before you confirm.
- Vehicle owners get a free trial period, after which a management fee applies as shown in the app. Fees may change with notice in the app.
- Hesabu and contract-to-own records in the app are a tracking tool for what the owner and driver agreed. They are not a substitute for a written agreement between you.
6. Content you post
You keep ownership of what you post, and give Tenance a licence to host, display and distribute it within the service (including shared links and previews) so the service can work. You confirm you have the right to post it.
7. Safety and verification
We verify some users and listings and use automated checks to reduce fraud, but verification is not a guarantee. Use your own judgement, meet in safe places, and report problems through the app.
8. Our responsibility
We work to keep Tenance available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Tenance is not liable for losses arising from agreements between users, for content posted by users, or for interruptions outside our reasonable control. Nothing here limits rights you have under Tanzanian consumer law.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; continued use after notice means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

1. Tenance ni nini
Tenance ni jukwaa la kuunganisha watu (wapangaji na wenye nyumba, abiria na madereva, wateja na wataalamu, wanunuzi na mafundi samani, wamiliki wa vyombo na madereva). Isipoelezwa vinginevyo kwenye programu, Tenance si upande wa makubaliano ya upangaji, safari, huduma, mauzo au vyombo yanayofanywa kati ya watumiaji.
2. Akaunti yako
Lazima uwe na umri wa miaka 18 au zaidi na utoe taarifa sahihi. Linda nenosiri na namba zako za uthibitisho. Tunaweza kusimamisha au kufunga akaunti zinazovunja masharti, zinazotumika kwa udanganyifu, au zinazohatarisha wengine.
3. Matumizi yanayokubalika
Hakuna matangazo ya uongo au yanayorudiwa, tathmini bandia, kujifanya mtu mwingine, unyanyasaji, au bidhaa na huduma haramu. Hakuna kuvunja usalama au kukusanya data za watumiaji wengine.
4. Matangazo, uhifadhi na safari
Wamiliki wa matangazo wanawajibika kwa usahihi na uhalali wa matangazo yao na leseni, vibali na bima wanazohitaji (mfano leseni za LATRA kwa vyombo vya biashara). Masharti yanayoonyeshwa kwenye programu unapothibitisha ni sehemu ya makubaliano yako na upande wa pili.
5. Malipo na ada
Malipo hufanyika kupitia watoa huduma wa pesa za simu. Tenance haishikilii pesa zako kama benki au dhamana. Wamiliki wa vyombo hupata kipindi cha majaribio bila malipo, kisha ada ya usimamizi inayoonyeshwa kwenye programu. Rekodi za hesabu na mkataba wa kumiliki ni zana ya kufuatilia mlichokubaliana, si mbadala wa mkataba ulioandikwa.
6. Maudhui yako, usalama na dhima
Unabaki mmiliki wa unachopakia na unaipa Tenance leseni ya kukihifadhi na kukionyesha ndani ya huduma. Uthibitisho si dhamana; tumia busara yako. Huduma inatolewa "kama ilivyo"; kwa kiwango sheria inachoruhusu, Tenance haiwajibiki kwa hasara zitokanazo na makubaliano kati ya watumiaji. Hakuna kinachopunguza haki zako chini ya sheria ya ulinzi wa mlaji ya Tanzania.
7. Sheria inayotawala
